ESA Part 2 was created by Lynian
Hi I am wading through the ESA form, can anyone please tell me do you only need to fill in part 2 if you have mental, cognitive and intellectual problems, ie question 12 Awareness of hazard and danger If I tick the box to say I am safe when doing everyday jobs, will they assume I can do them, which I do not as I have a physical problem. Help Please!

Hi Lynian,
Does your physical problem cause you problems with awareness of hazard and danger (for instance, because of the effects of your illness itself or medication)? If so, tick the appropriate box and say what your problems are. Otherwise, as I understand it, you say 'no' and move on to the nexy question.

If you do not have have any problems that fit into Part 2 of the form then just go through and mark the tick boxes as applicable.

However, just to be clear to anyone reading this in isolation. It is not unusual for Mental Health issues to be the result of a Physical disability, especially if this has been suffered for a long time. As such, it is perfectly acceptable to complete this section, in addition to Part 1, if you meet any of the criteria.
