Hi

This is my first time on anytype of forum. But after reading so many fibro blogs where people where getting negative responses from medicals I am very scared.

I have just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia after been in 2 small car accidents in 2009 and what started off as a neck injury graduallu exculated all over my body but kept getting diagnosed with aggrevated whiplash.

After numerous blood tests to cancel everything else out i was diagnosed with Fibrolmyalgia which i had never heard of but felt scared but releaved when i began to read up on the illness as i thought i was going mad but relised what i was suffering did match a medical condition

I was made redundant in june 2011 even though been on sick since April 2011. I filled in medical questionaire and was placed in ESA contributuary catagory. I have now been given a date for a medical which i had to rearrange as they'd made it in school hols. i have a 3 and 4 yr old.

Im already on with School nurse as really struggling taking my 4yr old to school as dont drive and have to get taxis. Cant walk very far, sit or stand for more than 10mins without been in pain. if i walk far i start tipping to side and feeling dizzy and sick while suffering pain. I cannott do anything unless its at home and in short time period then rest, me and hubby dont even go out anymore as no point as too uncomfortable, now im worried i am going to be forced into work when i arent even capable of leading a functional normal life.

I am still on a waiting list for my pain management programm (not till Dec been waiting since june)) have not much medical evidence as just been diagnosed only had 3 lots of steriod injections and Doc not very helpful and has never heard of these so called medicals.

I have asked if i will see a Doctor who is aware of the Medical condition Fibromyalgia but as i was concerned as its a complicated and invisible condition and was told not to worry by ATos.

Can anybody help me with some usefull advice, as im at end of my tether and worried I will eventually lose my home as because hubby works getting no help with anything.

please help

Have a look at our ESA Claim guides, even though you have already submitted your ESA50, these may help you explain your condition better at the medical, they also contain a list of questions that you are likely to be asked there.
