how long to make a decision

Hi

I am in a similar position. I applied for ESA on July 1st and posted my form back in August. I was under the impression that after the 13 week assessment phase, payment would increase, however my bank have confirmed today that a payment went in (15) weeks into my claim at the initial assesment rate of £67.50 per week.
I have had no communicationfrom JCP other than to request a renewed sicknote, and no communication from ATOS.

I have sent 2 letters to JCP, one to Wrexham who requested my sicknote, and one to the local office dealing with my claim, along with copies of medical evidence sent with the form last August.
:S
Does anyone know whether I should still be receiving the assessment phase money in week 15 of the claim, and whether this will be backdated when DWP get their act together?
I have had no response to the two letters I have sent this month and am on the verge of sending a third one !!

Thanks

The Assessment rate is payable until a Decision is made on whether you meet the requirements of ESA.

If you do, then main phase payments will be made from the beginning of week 14, backdated if necessary.

Hope this explains it.

Hi

Thanks for that, I guess it's just a waiting game then! Perhaps I will send the third letter to see if things can be sped up as I have enclosed a medical report that states I should be placed in the support group under the exceptional circumstances rule.

Thanks for the response
