What info should I ask DWP for after medical?

I recently attended my 'medical' with ATOS.I have to say that the HCP was genuinely caring throughout and I was not even given a physical examination before he stated that I would be placed in the support group due to my health(think it was the carrier bag full of meds that helped!)However, I thought it was the decision maker at the DWP who decided which group to put you in. I would like to know on which descriptors I was awarded points for, so what documentation do I ask for copies of to find this out? Sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere. My head is full of mince.

Hi TTM,

The ATOS HCP who does the face to face assessment makes a recommendation.

It is the DWP DM who actually makes the decision.

I gather that you have actually received written confirmation from the DWP DM that you are in the support group.

If not your award is not official until you receive notification from the DM.

As you have had a face to face, you should request an ESA85 and an ESA65 Written Statement of Reasons from the DM at the DWP office dealing with your benefit.
