I think i will also write to my MP about it.Im still reeling from the shock and feel a bit useless haveing to sit and watch my wife cry.and she is a danger to herself thats why she has to have someone with her at all times well thanks once again and i'll be back to let you know how it goes

Hi SJ,

You can download and print off the GL24 appeals form from this post. :

See this thread also about problems that members are having in gaining reports etc. :

Hi SJ,

Just to add, in the first instance, I would request the reports in writing, keep a copy of all correspondence, and of your GL24, if you do appeal.

It would be advisable to send all correspondence by recorded delivery.

You could send a Subject Access Request for all relevant documents now if you wish, as mentioned in the thread that I provided the link to in my previous post.

It would be advisable not to rely on anything conveyed over the phone as members are receiving a lot of misinformation from the DWP.

Always try and have written confirmation so that you have an auditable paper trail.

Hi Sonjay,

I can't add anything to the helpful, practical suggestions made by Bro58, Catherine and Gordon, but I'd just like to say how sorry I am for the terrible time you and your wife are having and to send you both very best wishes for the appeals process.

Matty
