My friend has been for her medical 5 weeks ago, she has been waiting for a reply , suffers from Agoraphobia, Epilepsy, been told wait for decision is about 2/3 weeks, she rang up and they said another 2 weeks, what , if anything could that be about?

HI MH,

Members have reported periods in excess of 6 to 8 weeks after a face to face medical assessment without receiving a decision.

The assessment process would seem to be gridlocked at the moment, they are supposed to be dealing with around 12,000 IB to ESA migrations a week at present, and that is without any new ESA claims.

So I am afraid there is no definitive answer to your question.
