Good Morning All!

Quick question about those put in support group after migrating from old IB.
Are there any obligations once in this group over and above the old IB where you were effectively left alone until the next assessment? Are you obliged to do anything? Would the DWP keep regular tabs on you etc?
Also, is it true that you would be likely to be subject to a new assessment every year?

Many thanks. Takes some time to get one's head around all the info. on this site, and I feel sorry for those who have to do it QUICKLY without help, but all credit to those who conceived and maintained this website. Excellent!

Hope someone can help with my questions.

Hi,

Other than the general informing the DWP of any change of circumstances etc, there are no other obligations for members of the Support Group.

If you wish, you can take part in Work Focussed Interviews etc, however this is purely voluntary.

The government have indicated that those receiving ESA in either group, (WRAG or Support Group) will be subject to review more often than under the old IB regime.

Thus one can expect to be reviewed more often - how long this is between reviews is generally case dependent.
