hi
hope this does not sound too silly but my question is this i was awarded high rate mobility in oct 2010 for two years i was waiting for knee replacement surgery which was cancelled due to heart disease
i am also waiting for my appeal to be heard to be placed in the support group
would it be advantageous to inform dla of a change of circumstance i have letters from my consultant verifying this change i am worrying about this with the new changes taking place also is it separate criteria from atos regarding decisions for dla regards gav

Hi G,

I am not totally clear as to your query.

However, if you informed DLA of a change of circumstance, the ensuing review would involve your current award, and therefore you would need to risk assess this, and the chances of you losing, or having your existing award reduced.

You would need face to face advice on this.

With regards to DLA and ESA, they are totally different allowances, with different qualifying criteria.

However, there are some crossovers with regards to limitations and disabilities suffered by a claimant.

For example mobility issues pertinent to ESA could also be pertinent to DLA, and vica versa.

I am not sure if this is the answer that you are looking for.
