Hi All
Been from medically retired from fire fighting since 1995 survived 3 separate strokes now aged 53 currently on 17 items a month meds not inc morphine liquid & morphine tabs
Received the brown envelope indicating DWP changes from IB to ESA etc saying they will be ringing me within 2 weeks if not me to ring them
HELP 999 HELP 999
WHAT do they ask???????????? pitfalls???

Hi,

All that happens during the phone call is the process of migration from IB to ESA is explained. If you do not answer the phone, or are out when they ring, they seem to try a couple of times then give up and you just receive the Work Capability Assessment form (ESA50) in the post.

Hi,
There is an excellent guide about the transfer in the members area. Also, check out the guides for esa with physical/and mental health there are really useful. There is a pdf on esa50 questionnaire, start thinking about how you will fill it in, as you only have 4 weeks now to complete it, gather evidence to support your case and send it back. If you have professionals treating you for you disabilites ask them if they would write a letter to support your claim, if you have letters submit them, make sure you copy everything, that is important.
