hello i find myself in the same position i appealed in writing and have submitted a gp letter and im getting together supporting evidence of my illness by hospital records and Drs notes so they can have my full history not some Atos persons opinion in a 15 min medical. These all cost time and money im stressed out in trying to make the DWP aware that they are wrong with the decision to say im fit for work i honestly dont know what job they would find me when on some days i cant even get out of bed !!!!!! so my advice is to appeal get supporting letters and any other history and submit this you also need to start sending in sick notes when you are appealing so you get the appeal assesment rate of ESA its alot less than IB but better than nothing and i assume if you win your case its back date hope this helps

On the assumption that this is related to ESA.

Have a read of the ESA Appeals guide in the members only area, you might also be interested in the following FAQ

How to submit an appeal

If possible, your friend should seek face to face advice from their local CAB or Welfare Rights office, who may be able to help with the paperwork.

If either of you have more questions, please come back to the forum.

Please refer to the guide entitled "Employment and Support Allowance appeals" in the ESA resources section.

Will this affect my careres allowance and her DlA high rate mobility and middle rate care, while appeal on ESA going through.

A number of members have had their DLA re-assessed as a result of a failed ESA medical, but there is no way of knowing whether this will happen for a specific case.
