HELLO AGAIN,
can you reply to my question..."what are the support group
descriptors" exactly...meaning , please
type what they are, word for word ,into the reply..which will save my weary brain
hours of searching. Thanks. This will
help me with my GL 24, when it arrives!
Hi S,
The Support group descriptors (Limited Capability for Work Related Activity. LCWRA) and exceptional circumstance are covered on pages 24 and 27 respectively, in The Understanding Employment and Support Allowance Guide link, accessible from this link. :

Hi S,
Your ESA payments will remain the same whilst your case is being reconsidered.

Are ESA payments affected after the Decision,
by a DM, or a Tribunal , is made ..for or against.?
Hi S,
Of course any revision of the original WRAG award at reconsideration stage, or if not then, at tribunal hearing stage could alter the amount of ESA paid. : See any potential risk here. :
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/faq/general#risk
Obviously if the revision was to SG status then any extra payment due to this SG status wiuld be backdated to the date of the original WRAG award.
However, if for some reason it was decided that you were not entitled to WRAG, and were "fit for work", you would not have to pay back any of the WRAG rate of ESA that you had received up until the date of this revised "fit for work" decision.
It is really advisable to read all our ESA guides accessible from here. :

Failing that it would help if you could gain advice from CAB or other advice agency.
You can check what is avialable in your area from this website. :
