Amber, unless your MP knows you well enough to be aware of how your condition impacts on your activities, I cannot see how a letter from him/her would help?

I think its perfectly acceptable to approach ones MP concerning transfer to ESA & other benefit problems, inform them of the difficulties you are having, or how worried you are and keep them informed. At some point the MP may be asked to be further involved.

Yes, I can understand that MPs should be made aware of what is happening, and that their involvement might help get things speeded up etc. However, I don't understand how a letter from an MP, in advance of the process, will help?

This is mere speculation. I'm sure the MP will advise their constituent which help they can or can not give and at what point they can become involved.

This post is going nowhere. Can we please leave it at this?
