ESA after the 12 months has passed. 6 years 1 month ago #73956

Hi,
what happens to people, such as myself, who attend WFInterviews, then
a year passes, and no job is found...
the ESA payments are due then to cease.
What happens to claimants then....
finacially and their livelihoods, to say nothing of their health.

You will continue to receive income-based ESA if you satisfy the means test.

Thanks,
and do you have a copy of the income-based ESA form/s? And, how much are the payments, for those successful
with their claim?

As the new legislation does not come into force until April 2012 there are no new forms as yet, but there will have to be an enquiry form issued by the DWP in advance of the expiry of a contribution-based ESA award, to find out whether a claimant qualifies for income-based ESA?

Thanks,
and the "components " are add-ons
? My ESA begins 2/12/2011 . So, it ceases on 2/12/2012?, I assume . I read on a government site that Jobcentre plus
are not assigned to "find jobs" for ESA claimants? That their role is more finding the right support for claimants?
Are these statements true?

Yes, you will be paid the personal allowance plus the component.

The legislation does not come into effect until 6 April 2012, so you will continue to receive ESA(CB) until this date.

There is an explanation of the Work Programme in the following FAQ
