Looked at the transfer dates from IB to ESA. I reach pension age in July 2014 (just missing the March deadline). How long are claiments waiting for their medicals - are they more or less due on their next examination date - is this the case in practice with most members (mine is spring next year) or are they earlier or later than this. Any replies welcome on this topic.

The reality is that most are being tranferred on time, but a significant minority are being tranferred either early or late, the bottom line is that you really cannot preempt when it will happen.
