Hi everyone I appealed against being put in the wrag group, got a letter Saturday saying that Iv been put into the support group. The letter says due to a change of circumstance even though I had the same condition when I went for the medical.

It seems the DWP do not have a "we screwed it up, we are sorry we got it wrong the first time" letter :)

Well done for your perseverance and thanks for sharing it with the forum.

Hi There

I have been put in the WRAG Group,I have requested a reconsideration to be put into the Support Group and this has become a total nightmare. I cannot write and using a keyboard causes me pain so I got my friend to write to them on my behalf and put forward my case and sent letters form my consultant and gp, after many different responses, we have received it, we haven't received anything from you, even though it has been sent through 3 times and depending on who you get it has been received, I have to have a telephone interview. I am hopeless on phones as find it very difficult to speak, when my carer explained this she was advised, if he doesn't speak or we cannot get hold of him we will stop everything, being victimised for being disabled it seems.
I have to have a telephone interview can you please advise me how I should respond as this is causing me stress and anxiety. The woman who spoke to my carer didn't care, even when my carer said I have known him for a long time and can describe to you what his day to day life is like? Please help me, I am so broken.
Many thanks

Catherine,
many congratulations. I'm hoping to have the same "result", once I've sent my supporting letters, along with my GL24. Is that what you did.
Graet to hear this encouraging news...you must be DELIGHTED!

Hi Stephen - it is Janet who has been successful in this thread. I am at home going through a very difficult patch, but am still waiting to be migrated from IB to ESA.

Best wishes and well done Janet.

Brokendown - your situation is dreadful. There must be a procedure for allowing someone to speak on your behalf - hopefully the mods wil know. Try to distract yourself a bit from the worry and i hope it all gets resolved soon.
