my husband had his first interveiw with a very nice lady at the jcp. she said that if his appeal doesnt go through she will put him on a work program for 2 years what will this mean is this good or bad jackie

I hope you will understand that we are unable to comment on the value of the Work Programme for ESA claimants, however, the following FAQ explains the programme in more detail.

thank you for your reply gordon. i have looked and read the link that you sent but i am still confused about this work program.is it the same as everyone is talking about the 6 interveiws you have to have while on wrag or is it something differant.and appox how long does each session last for? thank you jackie

Your local JC+ office will conduct your WFIs, and may ask you to carry out a variety of Work Related Activity.

If your advisor believes it appropriate, they will then forward you on to the Work Programme, these meetings are carried out by an external provider.

You should ensure you get advice and representation for your appeal, and all options can be explained by the representative (try the CAB ) if you lose the appeal.

thanks for your replys.so before you go on a work program do you have to go to these WFIs or can they send you straight on a work program? she just said to us that ir the appeal doesnt go through that she would put him on a work program for 2 years.thats why i am confused about all this thanks jackie
