Hi jn,

The WFI's are carried out at the Job Centre Plus, by JCP+ staff.

It is up to the JCP+ advisor as to whether they refer you to a Works Programme Provider,(WPP) who is contracted by the government under the banner of The Work Programme.

cheers

Hi,
I have been put straight into the WRAG group from IB
no medical.
I have appealed, Its been four weeks since I sent my
appeal letter. I have heard nothing from them since.
I have had my letter for my first WRAG interview.
How long is it to get an acknowledgment for my appeal
letter?
If I dont attend WRAG group, How much of my Benefit
will I loose?
Thanks

The DWP should have acknowledged your appeal request, I assume you sent in a GL24, within two weeks, so you should contact them to find out what is going on.

If you fail to attend a WFI without Good Cause, you can be sanctioned by 50% of the Work Related Activity Component (WRAC) for four weeks and then by 100% of the WRAC thereafter.

Can that be translated into hard cash, or does it vary from case to case?

I believe the WRAC is currently worth £26.75/week.
