I heard recently that the DWP have decided to stick by their original decision to put me in WRAG [mod edit - ref. deleted]

I wonder how long it will be before they furnish me with this package re-appealing and are you given a date and venue, then for the tribunal? With Xmas looming, I want to get cracking with CAB. I know the road will be rocky and my health is getting worse each day. I can't do anything for longer than a few minutes at a time and if I read all the forms/help-guides etc...I forget everything I have read within minutes.(When I'm bed bound what will happen?)

Thanks for all your help.

Hi TCP

I understand your concern, however, we can only help with general questions regarding the benefits we deal with. You may find the help you are looking for in the B&W guides, Members Only, orange section.

As it appears thet you are receiving (or about to receive) help from a Citizens Advice Bureau, they will be in a better position than us to help you with your claim, as they will be able to give face to face advice, which is not possible, on a board like this.

Kind regards

Michael

Oh. I was just hoping to gauge how long other people had waited.

You should receive your Appeal pack withing four weeks, although, it more likely to be later rather than sooner.

Thanks, Gordon. I guess mine will get caught up with the Xmas period. I'm wondering if it would be best to contact and see CAB before then or wait until I get more detail with the Appeal pack?!

Cheers

Most CABs are overloaded so people are only getting access to an advisor after having vsited them for a drop-in appointment. On this basis it may be worth you getting this bit out of the way, even though they will want to wait for the info pack to arrive.

My impression is that there is usually a rush on their resources after Christmas, so having direct access to an advisor, would avoid this.
