I wonder if any forumites may have observations on the following query about
Support Group criteria

Myself and many others may wish to try and gain access to the Support Group in
due course ande the following occurs to me as relevant criteria

1. The SG criteria of bein g unable to reliably initiate and complete two sequential tasks. I understand that
those with obsessional issues may have difficulties in this area. However, my thinking is that if a person has difficulty with obsessional thoughts and compulsions/ high levels of anxiety and
panic, such that their ability to do sequential tasks is greatly impaired, that they would possibly qaulify
I think 'reliably' is the key word, if I am right in recalling that is in the 'rule' It would not be enough for this inability to complete sequential tasks to be sporadic, and I'd imagine a claimant would face close scrutiny of their
daily living and self care abilities in the assessment of ability to complete sequential tasks.

However, what if that person in the course, shall we say, of their obsession/compulsion is performing a sequential
task over and over, would it be argued that irrespective of their ability to perform the pathologically driven sequential tasks, they are so impaired in what they might be otherwise needing or required to perform that this applies ?

2. And of the SG descriptor concerning social contact being always precluded. What of professional contact with
dentist and doctors visits ? Would the ability to do this apply or is it mean't by 'social contact' more broadly, because if it is the former then hardly anyone could qaulify under this heading.
Additionally, what if the ability they have is that on a good day they could face the shopkeeper to make a purchase, but not engage in conversation, woiuld the ability to say 'thank you' when the change is handed over, be 'social contact'; in the meaning of the SG descriptor.

Any thoughts ???
