DLA renewal and supporting evidence was created by Feelinghopeless
I am seeing my welfare rights officer on Thursday and she will help me fill out my DLA renewal form and wants to get it off as soon as possible. On 8th February I have an appointment with my psychiatrist who has agreed to write a supporting letter. My deadline is not until the end of March. What I want to know is, how many copies of my supporting evidence should I do and who should I send them to, bearing in mind they will be sent separately from my DLA form.

Many thanks

Hi Mel

If you are renewing your DLA, please see the guides here -

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/dla/#dlachanges

Usually renewals are returned to DLA unit Blackpool. As you are sending them seperately, you only need to send one copy and write a short covering note & include your name, National Insurance Number on each document and if necessary number the documents. Keep a copy of each one.

Kind regards

Michael

Hi Mel,

As you have a WRO, they are the best person to advise you, since they see you face to face and have access to your case files, which we don't.

However, see our FAQ in the Spotlights area of the forum HERE and scroll down to Disability Living Allowance and you'll find lots of links there
which are up-to-date.

Good Luck.

Jim
