Getting Worried

Getting Worried was created by KeithW
I am starting to get ever so worried...

I got my ESA form to fill in at the beginning of December and the letter that came with it said it had to be back with them by the 3rd January

No concessions were made what so ever to take into account the fact the festive and new year breaks were approaching.

So in a blind panic I filled out my form as best I could and posted it off on the 15th December by recorded delivery.

The tracking number for my form keeps saying it is progressing through the post office network.

I am getting increasingly worried that ATOS have not yet received my form, which should have been with them by the 3rd of January.

What do I do if they have not yet got my form and they cut my benefits off?

Will they accept my receipt from the post office, with the tracking number, as proof that I sent off my form in good time.

I am really scared right now because I just don't know if they have my form or not or if they are going to stop my benefits.

Thanks for reading.

Take care,

Keith

I have to say I am surprised that the envelope has not been delivered yet, even taking into account the delays that would have occurred due to the Christmas period, I would have expected it to be delivered by now.

Have you contacted the Royal Mail, to find out what is happening with it?

You could ring ATOS if you have their number from the covering letter that came with the ESA50 and the DWP to let them know what is going on.

You have done everyting you can in order to ensure the return of the ESA50 within the timescales requested. If problems arise from its late delivery, explaining when and how you posted it should be sufficient.

Hi,

I plucked up the courage and gave the post office a call today and after spending ages going through various press this/say this automated systems I finally got to talk to a human who told me my letter was delivered on the 19th December.

So I guess it is just a waiting game game now.

Take care,

Keith

Two out of three letters that I sent to DWP by recorded delivery at the end of last year never showed the delivery on the postal website! I am glad that you now know that yours arrived and I wish you luck with the decision.
