Hi DM,

Our ESA Guides can be accessed from here :

And all our B&W Guides can be accessed from the orange MEMBERS ONLY box on the left, as here :

With respect to your question, you do not state whether your husband is in receipt of the Carers Premium, as I do not think it is possible to be in receipt of Carers Allowance, and IB, as they are overlapping benefits.

With regards to ESA and DLA then any caring that your husband provides for you should not clash with any of the needs, limitations or disabilities that he receives (IB) ESA, or DLA for.

All IB recipients are being transferred over to ESA before Spring 2014, see FAQ here :

Who will be transferred?

There are no exemptions to this migration except as mentioned in the above.

If a claimant is placed into the WRAG of ESA they will not have to attend WFI's or WRA, if they are in receipt of Carers Allowance or the Carer Premium, see here :

Work Focussed Interviews, (WFI’s)
Work Programme

If you read all the relevant FAQ's and our ESA Guides, many of your questions will be answered.

If you are still unsure, please come back to the forum, or seek face to face advice :
