I am Profoundly Deaf (95 +dbhl)
Under Hearing loss it states that if a person has been deaf for 5 years or more then they are entitle to an infinite award.
Have you any idea what this award would be?

Could you please tell me if it is worth me applying for DLA?

Hi R,

I could not possibly give any valid comment, as to what DLA Award you may receive.

If you mean an Indefinate Award, this simply means that you are expected to suffer the qualifying limitations in the longer term, rather than giving an award for say, 1 or 2 years.

It is not a life award, as they no longer give life awards, and any award of DLA can be reviewed at any time after 12 months receipt under the :
