Thanks for a quick reply.

Excuse my ignorance on such matters here, but during the time it takes to get a decision, will I still recieve my DLA award that we have recieved for the last 15 years or so ?

Hi N,

You will continue to receive DLA until a decision is made.

You may wish to contact the DLA Unit, to enquire where the process is up to, see contact details here :

I only had my ATOS Home medical 6 days ago, would that be sufficient time to ask for an update ?

Hi N,

One would think that the EMP would have returned his medical report to the DM at the DLA Unit by now, however it will depend on whether the DM has made a decision yet.

I'm afraid that you will only find out by contacting them.

Just rang the DLA up. No decision as yet, usually takes upwards of 14 days apparently which confirms what I have been told by yourselves. I did however mention my latest fall, which happened on the 3rd December last year, this fall has obviously effected the care I need as Im totally bedbound now. I did till the ATOS doctor about this at the time of his visit,he seems uninterested at the time, not even sure he made a note of it but at least those in charge at the DLA headquaters are aware of my situation now.

I hope I did the right thing,as Im not an expert at these things, but having reads so much information about ATOS doctors, I decided to tell the DLA myself about the fall.

Its a worrying time, thats for sure.

Just a quick update on how things are going. Well, its been almost 3 weeks now since my ATOS medical. I did finally received a letter from the WP. Inside the letter is simply said that they were going to contact my local GP,and also contact my Orthorpidic surgeon for 'more' information from both .

I dont know if this is good or bad news ?

The silence is deafening. :(
