DLA home visit

DLA home visit was created by Cas30
Ive been trying to claim DLA as advised for over 2 years. Each time rejected without even contacting my GP or consultants. However since joining, I have submitted a new form. This time I have had a letter to say they are requesting more info from my GP and also today received a letter to say they are doing a homevisit on thursday this week. Ive read some real horro stories about Atos visits and am quite concerned.
I would be grateful for any advice.
I suffer with chronic Fibromyalgia, Raynauds, Asthma,Arthritis, Hiates Hernia and mobility problems due to a double knee op that went wrong.

Yes I have read all of these. It is scheduled for 2-3.30 which ia an awful time for me as I am so tired by then I find it very difficult to think straight. Would it be helpful to have someone else there with me?

We would always advise a claimant to have a companion with them at a medical if at all possible.
They can take notes and offer moral support which is often invaluable.

I have fibro too. Ive had 4 medicals n 5 tribunals in 6 years!!!!! Won them all tho. They still dont take the hint. Afternoons r a rotten time but i make notes so i tell them what i want to. The ladt report was supportive of me but dwp ignored it anyway. They wont ask u about night time so if you have probs then you MUST tell them, they say you have none if you dont. Let us know how you go. Even the drs that are nice want to trip you up
