Form LT54

I consider myself lucky that I have received back pay dating from August last year.
I have recently found out from a couple of people I have spoken to, they have not had back pay, and did not realise that their appeal for support group had been backdated by six months. They had not read the letter properly (was on second page), they assumed the change took place from the date the appeal was sent to DWP, just to warn members to read the letter all the way through, to make sure you get monies that is owed. All I have to do now is enquire for how long my SG status lasts.

Have at last received a reply to letter I sent re: complaining about the way my claim has been dealt with over the last year. I have received an apology for the inadequate way I have been dealt with. Also told that Form LT54 is an internal form "used for referring claims to a Decision Maker, and is not issued to customers"?. I had requested this form.

Hi R,
I am afraid that the information that you have been given regarding the LT54, is simply wrong. As listed here :
ESA Forms
It is filled in by the DM, when an appeal or reconsideration takes place.
Several members have reported receiving them on request, and I have actually seen one. It was sent to a close friend of mine, on request.

Just to add to Bro58s comments, I also have had sight of the mythical LT54.
