Hi nafsi,

You don't have to suffer from a 'disability' as such - you just have to have care and/or mobility needs that have lasted for 3 months already and are expected to continue for at least another 6 months.

People often see a difference between being disabled and being ill, but in reality disability and/or incapacity benefits concentrate on the results of the infirmity rather than the condition itself.

In reality, it is possible for two people to have the same care requirements but different conditions and two people with the same condition to have completely different care requirements.

Mrs Hurtyback & Gordon thank you for your responses . I'm reading the link you posted (Disability Alliance attendance allowance and disability living allowance case law summaries ) and I'm starting to understand it a bit more now .

I will keep you posted on how I get on with the review . Once again , thank you for the replies
