Concerned over time waiting

Hi all
I sent my ESA forms for IS to ESA transfer
first week of December.I have not heard anything at all fromeither Atos or DWP.
Also my GP and consultants were requested
to notify me if they heard anything. My GP
told me he had not done a ESA before.
A few days ago a got a letter from DWP dreading to open it it turned out to be a cold weather payment. At least the government has not stopped that.
I have decided to wait until i hear!!.Is that the way forward.

Yes I am still in receipt of my I.B. thank goodness.
From all the posts there appears to be so many different time scales - some good some not so good.

I took the advice and phoned up the DWP. After being transferred from the ESA Dept to the IB department I found out that my assessment was still in the backlog and I could not be given any timescale. In all fairness the staff I spoke to were really nice to me, so no complaints there.

I have a good friend who went through the CAB to complete both her IB to ESA and DLA forms, this was a week after i submitted mine. The CAB submitted them on her behalf and she got her ESA decision after 6 weeks and her DLA after 4 weeks. Just wondering if forms arriving at the DWP with a CAB covering letter get higher priority.

Waiting times vary depending on the office's workload and complexity of the individual case, but a cover letter from CAB shouldn't make any difference. The DWP have to treat all claimants equally.
