Never heard of that before but it actually makes sense

Personally, I cannot understand, from a procedural point of view, how a DM can render a WRAG Decision without completing a scoresheet or the equivalent, but a number of members have had problems retrieving this document.

I'm afraid if the standard processes fail, then there is not really anything else we can suggest at this time.

Having just submitted the templated SAR ourselves, we are interested in this topic.

I think the bottom line, is what are the implications of the DWP/ATOS not releasing a scoresheet (for whatever reason) when requested, but then subsequently producing the scoresheet (say at the next claim date) to the claimants disadvantage ?

Hi MSH,

As already stated earlier in the thread, it is entirely possible that a "score sheet" was not actually generated, especially in the case of an award of WRAG or SG, without a face to face, on paper scrutiny alone, (restricted medical)

I know personally of two cases where the claimants were placed in the WRAG and SG respectively on paper scrutiny, and no such score sheet was used, or provided to comply with a SAR request.

They seem to stop the assessment, once they are happy that the claimant has hit the WRAG or SG criteria, not that it should be that way, of course.

However, if in the future you found that there was indeed a score sheet which was not disclosed as part of a SAR, Data Protection Request, you would have reason to complain to the DWP, and the Information Commissioner.

Cheers

We asked for a copy of our Med report sheet which was conducted without a meeting with either a GP or a Nurse, and was placed in the WRAG group. So a copy of the report arrived promptly for me to see for our apeal. No mention of the scoring in which we asked for, just this rediculously inacurate med sheet, saying I was not pregnant, needing chemo etc.Just bullet point justifications on why I was in WRAG and not support.
So I agree with the statement above as that is precisely what they will do , throw the score sheet in for themselves making it difficult for us to write a practical response properly. All seems tit for tat at the end of the day. Especially now that the whole ludicrous welfare bill has gone thru without ammendments.

Little update.

We submitted the formal SAR on 26th Feb. A chasing phone call yesterday led to a phone call from the decision maker who claimed there was no documentation whatsoever, regarding my wifes ESA application (which resulted in being placed in the support group). Much as I would like to believe the government is happy to splash money around with no documentation, I cannot believe this for a moment.

Informal advice elsewhere is to contact the Information Commissioners Office, and start a complaint against the DWP.

Just curious what others experiences/opinions are.
