Hi Micksville,
As yet I have not been for a WFI as they have said no need to attend whilst undergoing an appeal. It was information gleaned via a phone call to try and establish what would be undertaken at an WFI, in other words were they going to help or not. Answer 'Your guess is as good as mine'. Help I suppose is provided if they actually send you to a Disability Assesor. Today I rang up again and they put me thru to Bridport office,(here they have a Disability Assesor) however they said my case is being dealt with for a WFI in Honiton where there is NOT a Disability Assesor. Makes sense not !!!!

That's really interesting, I rang up yesterday re wfi and I informed them that I was appealing decision and the lady said I still had to attend the wfi. Does anyone know if it varies in different parts of the country?

You do still have to attend wfi whilst awaiting appeal. The agency staff regulatory say the word 'mandatory', so that is it. I had my first one on the telephone yesterday and I am relieved of duty, for now, however the nice lady did ask if I could mange a training course. She had to slip that in, as it was 'mandatory'.

So why did they tell us not to attend whilst awaiting the appeal. We as yet have not heard anything else to the contrary and have not submitted all our evidence for the appeal as we were told we had until mid March to send in all the stuff.
