Medically Retired

Hi everyone, what a great site, already told friends about this .
My Doctor has told me to see OH from my work to see about
Getting medically retired.My boss phoned head office and they
said company called Otas will be in touch.Anyone any idea

Not to sure what will happen next, but if it's ATOS, they usually send you for a medical. Sorry not much help, hope you go on alright, take care.

You should be asked to go for an independent medical.. which will be other than your own GP or Specialist..They will send their findings to OH or Human resources... if you have a pension you may be able to get that early on Ill health grounds.. When they are satisfied with all the medical evidence and the HRMC agrees that you will not ever be able to do any work your pension will be paid.... but you must find out first if your pension provider has this option available to you and that you are in the right age group I think its 53-55 but please check with your provider( if you have one) their company allows payment of pensions early on grounds of Ill Health ( not all do) then you should have a meeting to discuss when your retirement will commence and then as your companies handbook states what ever else you need top do on completion.
