Esa supersession GL24 was created by guildster
Hi my husband has been migrated to esa 6 months the ago he is in wrag group. I have phoned up our relevant DWP office to try to have him placed in the support group as his condition has worsened, He was placed in the wrag group without a medical,
The person I phoned today said I need to fill in a GL24 and return it, question is, is a GL24 the right form? as I thought they were only applicable up to a month after a decision? I mentioned to the lady that I thought he would need a supper-session, which she said had never heard of a supper-session, I am very confused and would like also to ask hows the best way to get his claim looked at again.

I think you are correct that you need to ask for a supercession, rather than appeal. I am not sure whether there are any special forms for this - hopefully someone who can answer will be along soon.

The normal procedure for a claimant with a worsened condition is to ask a for SuperSession of their current claim.

A GL24 appeal form is only relevant where a claimant disagrees with a previous Decision on their claim.

You need to contact the DWP again, hopefully this time they'll understand what is required :)

Hi,

The information you have been given is incorrect. You can only appeal a DWP decision
not to award benefit up to a month of receiving the Decision Makers notification.

Regretfully, due to staff shortages, DWP staff are being moved from offices dealing with benefits they're familiar with, to offices that know nothing about other benefits.

It's not the DWP's staff's fault it's the DWP for moving staff from office to office with little or no training.
