Conflicting information from DWP ! was created by emma72
Good Afternoon All,

I'm still awaiting a reconsideration on my CB ESA.
I have been given conflicting info by 2 advisors at the DWP,
the first said, we have had your evidence since Dec 2011, and it's waiting to be reviewed, but you should still recieve assessment rate, whilest waiting for a decision.
The second said, your CB ESA will stop on the 29th April and you wont recieve any other payments whilest waiting a decision ??
I told him what the other advisor said, and he wasnt sure what to say, he was fobbing me of
Really fed up and feeling very low,he did say , we have had your evidence for quite some time now, but didnt know how much longer it would take.
Anyone else in the same boat ?

If you have been receiving ESA(CB) for more than 365 days by the end of April, whether you have been in the WRAG and/or Assessment rate, then your ESA(CB) will cease due to the time limiting of ESA(CB) implemented by the Welfare Reform Act. See

12 Month Limit for ESA(CB)

12 Month Limit for ESA(CB) – Implementation

If this is not the case, then you should be receiving the Assessment rate while you wait for a Decision to be made on your claim unless you are being transferred from IB, SDA or IS, inwhich case you will stay on your current benefit until a Decision is made.
