Thanks Bro, I'm just a worrier by nature! but because they seem to think everyone is a fraud and now watch you. I wanted clarity as I was a bit confused on the walking rules. thanks

Jenny has a point - as I understand it, the mobility component of DLA is not awarded to people who can never leave the house.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi A,

Just to add, with respect to mobilising.

Any distance mobilised after the onset of the severe pain or discomfort, is not counted.

e.g. Claimant can mobilise 30 metres before the onset of severe pain, discomfort, or breathlessness, the claimant can then manage to mobilise a further 30 metres.

This is 60 metres in total, however only the 30 metres mobilised before the onset of severe pain, discomfort or breathlessness counts.

It should be remembered also that DLA is a "Walking" test, and ESA is a "Mobilising" test, which includes the use of an aid or manually propelled wheelchair unaided.

Ok thanks Bro58 If I use my GTN spray and continue walking then, that's Ok I won't be accused of being fraudulent.
Oh so many rules and regulations all so complicated! With my step son putting in another claim after being refused DLA I thought they may be suspicious and was worried about being seen in the supermarket. thanks
