voluntary work

I am on income support for reasons of incapacity (mental health). I have been doing voluntary work but failed to report it. Now I have to complete a A2 form. I will declare the work now (I want to carry on with it too). Should I be worried that they will look into my work capability, and will I be in trouble for not telling them about it sooner?
The work is in a charity shop and is unpaid.
Does anyone have any thoughts/experience?
