I have a detailed GP's letter/report dated August 2011 (7 months ago) that I used for my DLA application.

Would that be deemed out of date to supply with my ESA50 during my migration this month ?

My main concern is the ESA medical going belly up and my DLA stopping as a result. Especially since its taken my years to finally be awarded DLA.

Good luck.
I would have thought if your GP letter helped you get your DLA then it should be good for your ESA and I would not have thought it was out of date. However descriptors and lay out of GP letter may be advantagous if he could rewrite it for you.

The letter may still have relevance, however, you would need to also show that your condition has remained the same, or has deteriorated since then, for it to have real value.

The only relevance I could show would be stating nothing had changed since the letter was wrote. Is that what you're thinking of Gordon ? or are there any other methods I could use to support my condition remaining the same since Aug 2011.

I could get another letter from the GP, but I have three weeks to return the ESA form and wont be able to see my GP for another two weeks, followed by a further two weeks to collect the letter from the surgery.

Hi.
I used evidence going back to 1998 2006 2007 2009 and 2012 for my e s a 50. It gave a clear picture of the detereating vision over that time and it helped me.

It all depends whether it would be reasonable to assume your condition has remained the same.

If you have a disability or illness that will not improve, then this would be reasonable, however, if there is the possibility that it could improve, then you need to show that it has not.

If you can get an up to date letter from your GP, then I would recommend that you do this.

It is important to remember that the DWP are assessing your health as it it today.
