Hope all had a Happy Easter.
3 weeks ago I was told I had been placed in Support Group following a reconsideration.
(Placed in WRAG 13th Dec 2011,told by a letter that now in SG March 11th & backdated to 13th Dec 2011)
Still awaiting confirmation of this despite phoning them twice. First time was told no idea why you have not got your confirmation letter & info on why you have been placed in this group & that she would sort it out. Here we still are, awaiting this darn letter. Was informed this reconsideration was for 6 months only. Now as it seems to be, one is given another ESA50 to fill out 8 weeks b4 end of time in a group. This brings us to the fact that 6 months ends on 13th May, therefore it looks as though I should receive my new form to start all over again on 13th April. However which will come first. a new ESA form to fill out & go thru the system again or a confirmation of being placed in SG plus affiliated paperwork???
Or do I phone them yet again trying to find out what they are playing at.

The DWP are definitely over stretched at the moment and this does seem to be affecting their administration processes to breaking point.

I can only suggest you keep contacting them at regular intervals to see where your Decision letter is.

With regard a new ESA50 being issued, there is no way to preempt when it will actually arrive, our best advice is not to be prepared for its arrival but not to worry about it.

I fully understand they are at breaking point, entirely due to the idiotic concept that has been put in place. However as this new concept is not of our making, but we are caught up in the midst of it are we not able to challenge this ludicrous situation we are unjustly finding ourselves in and force them into dealing with matters within a time scale. They manage to stop payments before and on time, complain if we do not keep their deadlines but are quite happy to keep us all waiting for them to pull their finger out when and how long they feel like it.
I do sound disgruntled and feel justified in feeling that way and also believe they should be made acountable for their actions. I am fine but many are suffering really badly out there because of the ineptness of DWP/ATOS etc and their failure to comply with the regulations laid down.

If you believe you have suffered unreasonable delays and/or stress as a result, you can make a complaint to the DWP. See

Hiya,
No at the moment I do not wish to complain, I was just wondering what measures we could do because of their tardiness.Bit of a protest really cos so many on this site and others out there seem to be having such a difficult time with the powers that be and furthermore DWP/ATOS seem to be getting away with it all.It seems to be anything goes for them, but woe betide us if we fail to jump to their clicked fingers. I think in an obscure way they forget that if it was not for us, they too would not be in work, in other words we pay their salaries.in a round about way.

Unfortunately, very few of the DWP processes are required to be completed within a specific timescale, even target times are rare.

The best you will find is that their response must be reasonable, but of course, there is no definition of what this means.
