Welcome to Benefits and Work

With regard to you being transferred to ESA from IB. The following section in our FAQs answers many of the questions that claimants have.

Hiya and welcome.
As I too worked for LA & was retired due to illhealth in 1999, but without an occupational health pension, I hope you managed to get a OHP in place before being retired. If you have not I suggest if it is not too late, please contact HR at your LA to see what can be done.
Then go to your Welfare Officer/CAB Representative & ask them to asssist you in filling out the forms etc when they arrive & they will help you thru the mire of benefits. This initial call is common to assess whether or not it is you etc and can be used for/against you in anyrhing they say or do.
