disallowed dla hrm was created by bal42
some months earlier after dla review, was disallowed hrm,now blue badge due for renewl. cannot have automatic badge renewal due to no hrm.in view of hrm disallowance can i still apply for blue badge for renewal to local authority on discretionary basis and would it be right to do so.or can they turn round and say -hrm disallowed so no badge renewal.what are my chances.

any advice or any experience of anybody
please

You are certainly entitled to apply for a Blue Badge directly from your local council even though you have lost your HRM. The criteria are similar, but not the same, so your losing your HRM should not in its self be a reason for them not to grant one.

Gordon is right, you do not need to be in receipt of DLA HRM to qualify for a Blue Badge. See About the Blue Badge Scheme

my fear is in the past my two renewals were on the basis of dla hrm automatic renewal scheme. now that i have lost dla hrm council can turn round and say as i do not need dla hrm, so i do not need blue badge. would this have any bearing on the outcome.

many thanks in advance
