reasonable adjustment question was created by shadowlight
I've been reading the "Get better treatment from the DWP" pdf and have been thinking about the resonable adjustments part. I have already requested to not be phoned as I have issues using the phone, but now I am wondering if it would be ok if I was to also request that the appeals pack was sent on non-white paper? Due to being dyslexic I struggle to read large quantities of black text on a white background. If something is on a computer I can change the colours, but obviously I cannot do this with hard copies of things. I keep having to get my partner to read the letters and summerise them for me, but I don't want to make him do this with the appeal pack as from what I hear it is very large

But I am worried that this may not be a reasonable request... Is it usually ok to ask for things like this? I know the booklet says about large print and brail, but these seem like more often made requests so things they will be prepared for and so may not cost much or be a bother for them to prepare.

Would it be worth requesting this do you think?

You made not need to as my evidence pack was copied onto a recycled beige paper, definitely not white.

However, you can still make the request if you wish, although I'm not sure whether the DWP are obliged to do so, although this does not mean that they won't.
