Advocates or Welfare Rights Officer was created by susanh
Hi
My son has a ATOS medical for his ESA on the 25th May -
Just wondered if anyone knew of any advocate or welfare rights workers (or ex workers) experienced in these and in variable illnesses in the North East of England who could advise and accommpany him to the medical.
I would go myself but I have ME and dont think I could cope with the stress levels.
I have not had this type of assessment as yet (but have experienced the older type of medical from ATOS) and know it is like being in a minefield of questions.
I would pay for my son to have someone to support him if needed, as I had to fight for 2 years for DLA and it was a nightmare I dont want him to have alone.
Thanks Susan

Hi Susan,

North East England is quite a large area in terms of both size and the number of cities and towns it encompasses.

If you can give me the name of the town/city you reside in, I can most probably give you a contact for help from my database.

Regards.

Jim

Hope one of the above can assist you.

Good luck.
