ESA and pension credit

ESA and pension credit was created by BrianSkye
I've just received a strange letter (strange to me). I'm now in the ESA support group but I just got a letter from the Benefits Centre saying that I will reach the minimum state pension credit age on 6 September 2012 and have the option of applying for Pension Credit instead of ESA.

Is there something special about pension credit in relation to ESA because I am only 60 years old and therefore have 5 years to go to a state pension?

Does this make sense to anyone?

Brian

BS

I'm afraid we don't advise on Pension Credit, but the following link may explain it in more detail.
