Pay slips and ESA was created by mr x
Hi folks,Without warning my ESA claim was suspended.Only after ringing DWP did I discover that its because they wanted to see my wife's payslips.Had they asked I'd have supplied them.My wife works 10 hours a week.
Anyway 8 days ago I sent the payslips to my local BDC and since have heard nothing.I've called them twice only to be told they have no record of any payslips.
There has now been two ESA payment days been and gone where we have received no money.
I just don't know where to turn for help other than here.
Any ideas whom I can speak to for help with this urgent matter please?
thanks
Mr x

The DWP internal mail system is pretty slow and it can often take 7-10 days for a letter to make its way to the right department, however, this does not excuse the situation.

The first thing I would do is contact the Customer Services manager at your local DWP office, this usually requires a call back so you may not be able to speak to them until tomorrow morning.

If this produces no results then I would involve your MP, see

Good luck

This happened to me for a similar reason to do with my occupational pension. Last payment received 30th April finally restored today and backdated. I made many many phone calls and in the end asked to speak with a Manager. Was advised that the post is opened elsewhere and then sent to the relevant offices. When the Manager phoned me back she said that post dated 14th May was currently being dealt with and as my details signed for by their own sorting office on 22nd may but received by the relevant office on 29th may I therefore had at least another two to three weeks to wait. I advised the Manager that this was causing me severe financial hardship she said she would expedite it. I must stress that I was ringing on an almost daily basis because originally I was told the details were lost but I gave them the recorded deliv tracking no which they signed for and they couldn't then continue with the fact that it was 'lost'. They said they would have to put a trace on it.
