DLA review request, now facing ATOS medical

Further to my request for my LRC indefinite award to be reviewed following deterioration and having waited months whilst further reports were requested by DWP, I now have ATOS to face.

With only 6 calendar day's notice, ATOS have said they will pay for a taxi 30 miles each way.

Not much time to prepare, reading the advice given here, I'm nervous!

LL

ATOS are required to give you 7 days notice, but this is based on the date of the letter and usually a a day for delivery, not when you received it, if this is not the case then you should be entitled to move the appointment with no fault to you, if it is not convenient to you.

Good luck

As you have stated that they will pay for a taxi can it be assumed you are to have the medical at an Atos medical centre? Also noted you said you've waited months nothing new there then!

Good luck at least your wait will soon be over.

why can't you phone them up and tell them you want a doctor to visit you at your home?

Will the DWP contact GP's and/or consultants before arranging a home visit from a Doctor?
