Job Centre told me I can't record WCA! was created by little_wing
Hi, just looking for some help here. I had assumed when or if I got an appointment for an assessment, I would just call and request that it be recorded. Well, I have an appointment for one and when I phoned my local Job Centre (which was the number I was given on the letter) they told me that I myself couldn't record, nor would they provide a recording. Can anyone tell me what I could do next? Thanks!

You need to contact ATOS and/or DWP as they provide the recording equipment. Be warned that you will probably have to rearrange the appointment in order for them to get hold of the equipment.

I did call the DWP. They're who told me it couldn't be recorded.

I know that Atos call center staff are aware that claimants have the right to recorded medicals, and would have expected the DWP to also be aware. But even so, it's far safer to have put your request in writing.
