Hi
I won my appeal on Monday, put in wrag group again, due to changes introduced in April, I am no longer entitled to contributions based esa, it is income based, which I am not entitled to because my partner works.
My question is: am I still entitled to get NI conts paid, and if so, is this done automatically by DWP or do I still have to supply sick note from Doctor.
Thanks

As we understand it, the transfer to NI Credits should be automatic, however, it would be worth confirming this with the DWP.

You will receive NI Credits while you remain eligible for ESA, so you may need to complete further ESA50s and attend medicals in the future.

If at any time in the future your condition deteriorates, or a new one develops that would mean you qualify for the Support Group, then you can ask to be re-assessed and if successfully placed in the SG, your payments will be re-instated, a condition of this is that you have remained eligible for ESA in the interim.

Now that you have won your appeal, you should not need to provide Fit Notes, however, you should continue to do so until the DWP acknowledge the Tribunal result and confirm your status.
