Had my 'medical' this morning. The Manchester centre has one disabled parking space, which is not bookable, your asked to phone 10 minutes before your appointment time.

However, my son, who took me, managed to get through the barrier and park in this space. Would have taken me half an hour to walk through the car park.

I would have thought that there would be facilities available as aren't ATOS dealing with disabled people.?

The toilets aren;t wheelchair usable and the examination couch has no grab rails or height adjustability.

What is going on here, surely they should be making some sort of effort to accomodate people with mobility problems.

Also the toilet is at the entrance, so when you've been ushered into the exam room, there are no facilities.

Can anything be done to encourage ATOS to consider all this.

You could remind Atos of their statutory duty to comply with sections 20 - 22 of the Equality Act 2010.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
