My daughter has Aspergers Syndrome, panic & anxiety attacks. She was desperate to work and secured a full time job. After 2 weeks she couldn't cope and after a further 2 weeks she is totally unable to work and this has set her back years. She has not resigned, is it okay to do so? Or will this affect her ESA claim? She has been signed off work, her GP says she isn't fit to work indefinately but he has given her a certificate of 1 month for the new ESA claim as he says he cannot give her a cert for longer at the moment. She hasn't contacted work in any way other than for me to send a text on her behalf on the first day of absence saying she was ill. They want to know if she is leaving. Any advice would be helpful please.
