Sick/Fit note was created by chrissy v
Apparently, iv,e got to write a letter to my GP surgery asking for a sick/fit note, because i,ve never been issued one by any of the doctors there, and because its been 20 years since i last had to send a sick note in, hope it may be of help to anyone who finds themself in the same position as me.

If you have been regularly seeing your GP they should be able to issue a Fit Note based on their understanding of your condition, there should be no need for you to write them a letter.

If they have not seen you recently, then it is unlikely that they will feel able to write a Fit Note without seeing you first.

Hi CV,

You should send your "fit note/sick note" to the office that deals with your benefits, preferably by recorded delivery.

You should keep a copy, and you could also include a copy with your GL24, to be on the safe side.

Hi bro58,

So i have to send two then, and also keep a copy, so i,ll send sick note by recorded delivery and the GL24 and copy of sick note by special delivery, is that what you mean.

Many thanks
