Still deciding whether to appeal was created by somebody_else
AS I previously posted, I've been put in the WRAG group, but I'm not sure if I should appeal or just go along with it ane let them run me into the ground.

I have two questions that I could do with advice on (I did add one of them to my previous thread, but haven't received a reply to it, so I'll ask it again here).

1) - I sent in, along with my form, some sheets detail a list of my symptoms and trigger, but I've since read that anything marked confidential won't be passed on to a decision maker. I've had previous experience of stuff that I've told someone in confidence being used as a topic of gossip, so I marked that information and the the brief extract of my pain and activity diary as confidential.

Did I inadvertently shoot myself in both feet by doing that?

2) I also completley forgot to mention on the form the adaptation? and equipment provided by Social Services, and the blue badge and the disable parking bay outside my house.

Would these adaptations (bathroom adapted so I could shower, swivel bather and hand rail over bath, toilet frame. Extra bannisters up the stairs, and the swivel cushion in the car, plus chunky cutlery for when I can't hold a normal knife or fork) make a difference to the outcome?

I have spoken to my doctor, but because I'm not a textbook anything and have no definitive diagnosis, and I don't go in to see her every time I hurt yself or to just report more of the same, there's nothing in my notes to definitely support me.

SE

To your first question, see my answer on the following link.

With regard to the adaptions you mention, If they are relevant to the ESA descriptors, then mentioning them may be of benefit, however, if you are achieving one of the ESA descriptors as a result of your using an aid or adaption, it may count against you, as you will be "marked" on the basis of you using the aid, rather than your underlying capability.

You're asking for individual advice, which as moderators we are not allowed to give.

However, another moderator may have a different opinion and give you information, or perhaps another member.

From my experience you need 'face to face' advice from a benefits adviser who can with your permission gain access to your case notes.

hi, I'm a bit jumpy about wether to appeal being put in the wrag, i got a phone call, no atos , just filled in the form, my fingers claw, insulin diabetic, left foot collapsed, no one will say why? cataracts, i could go on, then GP tells me i can have medical reports but have to pay for them, otherwise just be a med 4, DWP won't send for information because they don't want it, i may do it just to annoy them!
